HIL/Verification engineer

We are seeking a structured and hands-on Verification / HIL Engineer for a consulting assignment. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and managing the system and subsystem RIG environment. You will ensure that test rigs are aligned with the correct software baselines and configured with required hardware and software components. Additionally, you will own the verification team's inventory (including test phones, engineering tools, and spare components like media converters and routers) while supporting verification activities whenever time permits. Key Responsibilities

• Ensure RIGs are maintained on the correct software baseline and hardware configurations, keeping documentation and updates aligned with test requirements.
• Own and track the verification team's inventory—manage stock levels, coordinate storage/labeling, and handle replenishment needs.
• Hold recurring meetings to gather input on future RIG needs, component updates, and enablers.
• Assist with rig- and inventory-related troubleshooting and support hands-on verification activities when time allows.
• Prepare regular status updates for project management on verification status, resource needs, and risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Proven experience in hardware verification, HIL environments, or test lab maintenance.
• Strong understanding of SWDL, software baselines, hardware components, and test infrastructure.
• Excellent organizational and inventory management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively.
• Strong communication and documentation skills in English. Meritorious / Nice-to-Have
• Experience within Automotive and Infotainment systems.
• Hands-on experience with SWDL and OTA processes.
