Head of Product Unit Guided Systems – Ground Combat

Business Area Dynamics is looking for a Head of Product Unit Guided Systems within Business Unit Ground Combat. Ground Combat develops and delivers advanced capabilities with systems like the famous NLAW for land forces, combining cutting-edge technology, systems expertise and close customer collaboration. The business has a strong position in the global defence market, with a growing international footprint and rewarding partnerships with customers and industry. As Head of Product Unit Guided Systems, you will lead a strategically important and growing business with both national and international reach. You will have overall responsibility for the development and performance of the Product Unit and play a key role in shaping its future direction. Your role As Head of Product Unit, you will be accountable for the strategic direction, business performance and long-term development. You will combine a strong business perspective with a genuine interest in technology, customers and people. You will lead through a complex environment where long-term strategic decisions need to be balanced with operational execution and delivery. Your responsibilities include:

• Overall responsibility for the profitability, growth and sustainability of the Product Unit.
• Full P&L responsibility, including order intake.
• You will lead the development of next generation portfolio, one of the major investments of the Business Unit.
• Representing and strengthening Ground Combat's position with customers, industrial partners and other key stakeholders, both nationally and internationally.
• Responsibility for business execution and product lifecycle management, from development and introduction through to delivery and continued evolution.
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships, in close collaboration with Saab Group functions and other relevant stakeholders.
• Developing the organisation, capabilities and leadership needed to support the Product Unit's continued growth.

The role requires a strong ability to move between strategic perspective and operational detail. You will be expected to challenge existing ways of working, identify opportunities and make decisions that contribute to both short-term performance and long-term competitiveness. The position is based in Sweden and requires national and international travel. You will report to the Head of Business Unit Ground Combat. • A strong track record of leading and developing complex international businesses, operations based on a mix of partners.
• Experience from complex product development, systems development or system-of-systems environments, preferably within a technology-intensive industry.
• Demonstrated experience of driving growth, profitability ,strategic business development and establish international supply chains.
• A passion for people leadership and organisational development, with a coaching mindset and the ability to challenge and develop others.
• The ability to translate strategy into clear priorities and drive execution through the matrix based organisation.
