What you'll do

MotionTech is now looking for a Head of Group Controlling to play an important role in the continued development of the group’s financial reporting, analysis and performance management. The role is central to MotionTech’s finance function and includes close collaboration with the CFO, Group Management, Head of Group Accounting, local finance teams and owner-side stakeholders. This is an opportunity for a commercially minded and analytically strong finance professional who enjoys working close to decision-making in a dynamic and acquisition-driven environment. MotionTech has taken several important steps in strengthening its finance platform, including the implementation of AARO, and an established Head of Group Accounting function As Head of Group Controlling, you will be responsible for financial analysis, group reporting and business control activities across MotionTech. You will prepare financial analyses, reporting material and decision support for Group Management and the Board. The role will also support analyses and reporting related to the group’s continued development, acquisition agenda and integration work. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing monthly reporting packages, financial analyses and presentation material for Group Management, the Board and owners.
  • Supporting budget, forecast and financial planning processes.
  • Developing and improving business control processes, reporting structures, analysis models, BI tools and dashboards.
  • Supporting the integration of acquired companies into MotionTech’s reporting framework, including pro forma analyses and updated performance views.
  • Conducting ad hoc analyses, business cases and decision-support material related to acquisitions, integration, performance follow-up and strategic initiatives.Working closely with the CFO, Group Management, Head of Group Accounting and local finance teams,

Your profile We are looking for a candidate with a strong analytical finance background and experience from an environment with high standards for reporting, analysis and presentation material. You may have experience from transaction services, investment banking, private equity, corporate finance or a similar analytical finance environment. Alternatively, you may have worked in business controlling, group controlling or FP&A in a PE-owned, acquisition-driven or fast-growing company. You have a strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance analysis. Experience from an acquisition-driven environment, including integration, pro forma reporting, management reporting or owner reporting, is considered relevant. Experience with AARO or similar group accounting systems, BI tools, data analysis tools, data lakes or similar reporting and analysis platforms is an advantage. As a person, you are analytical, structured and detail-oriented. You are hands-on, pragmatic and solution-focused, with the ability to take ownership of both analysis and execution. You are comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and producing high-quality material under time pressure. Furthermore, you are a clear communicator with high integrity, sound judgement and a strong sense of responsibility. We believe you have an academic degree in finance, accounting, business administration, engineering or a related field. You are fluent in Swedish and English.
