Head of Flexibility Solutions

As Head of Flexibility Solutions, you lead the strategic development, commercial growth, and operational excellence of Mind Energy’s flexibility business. You’re leading a multidisciplinary domain being responsible for flexibility products, ancillary services, market participation, and the digital platform that enables it all. Working at the intersection of business, technology, operations, and energy markets, you will create scalable solutions that deliver measurable customer value while strengthening Mind Energy's position as a leading flexibility partner in the Nordics. DIVE INTO WHAT YOUR DAY-TO-DAY TASKS WILL BE At Mind Energy, we organize around domains rather than traditional functional silos. Each domain brings together commercial, operational, product, and technical capabilities around a shared business objective and customer outcome. This enables faster decision-making, stronger ownership, and closer collaboration across the value chain. In this role you lead the Flexibility Domain and bring together commercial specialists, traders, product experts, developers, and operations professionals around a common mission: delivering market-leading flexibility solutions that create customer value and accelerate the energy transition. Your mission is to:

• Define and lead the Flexibility Domain strategy, priorities, and roadmap, ensuring long-term business performance, growth, value creation, and market readiness.
• Drive the commercial development of flexibility solutions by translating customer needs, market developments, commercial opportunities, and regulatory changes into scalable products, services, business capabilities, and system initiatives.
• Co-own the roadmap and evolution of the Energy Trading Management Platform with the Product Owner, guiding investment and prioritization decisions across products, processes, and technology to deliver measurable business value.
• Ensure operational excellence across activation, monitoring, settlement, and performance management, while acting as the escalation point for critical commercial, operational, market, and system challenges and maintaining deep insight into Nordic balancing markets, ancillary services, and TSO requirements.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team built on ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement, turning market complexity into clear priorities, scalable solutions, and tangible results.

You combine strategic thinking with operational execution and know how to create results through people, collaboration, and clear priorities. We imagine you bring:

• Proven leadership experience with responsibility for people, business performance, and strategic execution, including building and developing high-performing teams
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align commercial, operational, and technical interests to drive growth and value creation
• Experience balancing strategic priorities with operational execution and day-to-day delivery
• Relevant experience from the energy sector, preferably within flexibility, balancing markets, ancillary services, trading, or grid-related services
• Excellent communication skills, fluency in English, and a relevant degree or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of demand response, virtual power plants (VPPs), and balancing products such as mFRR, aFRR, and FCR is an advantage
• Proficiency in a Nordic language is an advantage
