Job Description Trib is partnering with Scandic to find a Head of Design who wants to shape the future of digital experiences – and the teams that create them. The role: You’ll lead Scandic’s team of UX/UI designers and raise the bar for digital product design across the organization. That means nurturing and developing an experienced design team, bringing design into product decisions early while the problem space is still being defined, setting design principles and vision, and building trust with stakeholders across a large organization while challenging established ways of working. This is a people leadership role, but you’ll stay close to the work. You’ll create the conditions for your team to do their best, support their growth and be their strongest advocate. What you’ll do: You’ll coach and support your team in both craft and career, while joining early product discovery and helping shape business briefs. You’ll work closely with Product, Tech and CRO, advocate for the customer perspective through research, data and insight, and establish design principles and ways of working together with the team. A big part of the role is also helping the wider organization understand how good design drives both customer and business value. In other words, you’ll shape how design creates value across Scandic’s entire digital journey, from booking and loyalty to the hotel stay itself.
