Head of Accounting London | Stockholm | Amsterdam Shape the future of finance across Northern Europe. We're looking for an experienced and ambitious Head of Accounting to join our Northern European Finance Leadership team at a pivotal moment in our transformation journey. This role can be based in London, Stockholm or Amsterdam, giving you the opportunity to lead an international accounting function spanning Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands whilst working within one of Europe's leading real estate businesses. There has never been a more exciting time to join our Finance team. Following the implementation of a brand-new finance operating model and SAP S/4HANA platform, we're entering a transformative phase where processes, ways of working and finance leadership principles are still being shaped. This is a rare opportunity to join at the beginning of that journey and play a leading role in defining the future state. As Head of Accounting, you'll lead a team of six talented accounting professionals and partner closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Tax, Treasury and our Group Finance teams in Paris. You'll help build a modern, efficient and high-performing accounting function that not only delivers excellence in financial reporting and controls but also drives innovation, automation and continuous improvement across the region. If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely influence change, develop teams and leave a lasting mark on how finance operates, we'd love to hear from you. What you'll be doing

  • Leading the accounting function across Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands.
  • Driving the next phase of our Finance transformation journey and helping shape future ways of working.
  • Playing a key leadership role in the ongoing development of our SAP S/4HANA environment and Record-to-Report processes.
  • Building, coaching and developing a high-performing international team.
  • Owning quarterly and annual closings under IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting to senior leadership and Group Finance.
  • Strengthening internal controls, governance and compliance across the region.
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders on technical accounting matters, investments, divestments and business initiatives.
  • Identifying opportunities to automate, simplify and improve accounting processes.
  • Contributing to the development of our broader Finance leadership strategy and culture.

What we're looking for You are an experienced accounting leader who enjoys combining technical excellence with people leadership and transformation. You'll bring:

  • Significant accounting and financial reporting experience within an international organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Experience leading and developing successful accounting teams.
  • A track record of driving change, process improvement and operational excellence.
  • Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP.
  • The confidence to influence and partner with senior stakeholders across multiple countries.
  • A collaborative leadership style and passion for developing people.

Nice to have

  • Real estate, infrastructure or other asset-intensive industry experience.
  • Big 4 audit background.
  • Experience supporting finance transformation, automation or system implementation programmes.
  • Exposure to SAP S/4HANA programmes.
