Head Chef Wanted for Nystua Skeikampen

Would you like to lead the kitchen at one of Norway’s most beautiful mountain destinations? Nystua Skeikampen is looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Head Chef for the 2026–2027 winter season, with a start date of 1 December 2026. We are looking for someone who is passionate about great food, enjoys leading people, and is motivated by creating memorable experiences for both guests and colleagues. Nystua is a natural gathering place in Skeikampen, welcoming cabin owners, skiers, local residents, groups, and events throughout the winter season. Your Responsibilities

• Daily leadership and operational management of the kitchen
• Personnel responsibility for the kitchen team
• Staff scheduling and workforce planning
• Ordering, receiving, and managing stock and inventory
• Ensuring strong routines for food safety, health & safety, and internal control procedures
• Actively working to reduce food waste
• Managing supplier relationships
• Planning and executing events, functions, and group bookings
• Working closely with the General Manager and the rest of the management team

We Are Looking For Someone Who

• Has experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef with leadership responsibilities
• Holds a culinary qualification or equivalent relevant experience
• Is a confident and inspiring leader
• Has a good understanding of efficient operations and quality management
• Has solid knowledge of food safety and professional kitchen operations
• Thrives in a fast-paced and varied working environment
• Is structured, solution-oriented, and quality focused
• Is motivated by developing people and building strong teams
• Communicates well in English or a Scandinavian language
