Hardware Lead Engineer (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate hardware release activities for Connectivity Platform products, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with project milestones.
• Manage hardware signing, approval, and release processes, including part numbers, technical documentation, and release packages.
• Conduct and support design reviews, release approval processes, and deviation handling.
• Ensure alignment and consistency across engineering and product lifecycle management systems, including KDP, TCPLM, and Teamcenter Engineering (TcE).
• Drive hardware release planning and coordination with suppliers to secure on-time deliveries and project commitments.
• Manage supplier hardware backlogs, delivery follow-ups, and release readiness activities.
• Coordinate supplier hardware joint reviews (HWJR) and support quality, operational, and financial follow-up activities.
• Support manufacturing plants and aftermarket organizations by managing hardware deviations and release-related issues.
• Provide hardware release support during factory implementation and production ramp-up activities.
• Support sourcing activities for new projects, including technical documentation and release requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and project management to ensure successful product delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement of release processes, documentation quality, and hardware configuration management.

Skills & Competencies Required Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in automotive product development, hardware engineering, or product lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of hardware release processes, configuration management, and engineering documentation.
• Experience coordinating technical deliveries across multiple stakeholders and suppliers.
• Understanding of product development and industrialization processes within the automotive industry.
• Experience working with engineering systems such as Teamcenter Engineering (TcE), PLM, or similar product data management solutions.
• Strong project coordination and planning capabilities.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of sourcing processes and supplier management within automotive development programs.
• Experience supporting factory launches, production releases, and aftermarket activities.
• Familiarity with hardware change management, deviation handling, and quality processes.
