We build resilient communication, navigation, and coordination systems for the age of autonomy. We are looking for a Hardware Engineer to join our engineering team in Tampere. In this role you will take ownership of hardware design end-to-end from schematics and PCB layout through prototyping, validation, and production building the physical systems that power next-generation drone communication and navigation technology. Working closely with our low-level software team, you'll help bring reliable, mission-critical hardware from concept to real-world deployment. Key responsibilities - Design, develop, and review schematics, PCBs and their sub-components. - Research on hardware components that could be used to solve business problems. - Generate PCB manufacturing documents. - Participating in product and prototype development. - Verify and validate HW designs. - Co-operate with low-level software developers. - Document technical solutions. - Debug and analyze HW and production issues. - Be responsible for the entire HW product development lifecycle. What we require To be successful in this role you should have: - Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. - A solid understanding of principles of analog/digital electronics. - Able to design the complex PCB projects. - Understanding of the full device manufacturing cycle. - Hands-on experience with lab measurements with modern equipment. - Knowledge of EMI/ESD protection principles. - Experience with modern SI/PI simulation tools. - Experience with Altium Designer - Strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities, analytical skills. - Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar project management and requirements management tools. - Experience working in a global work environment. - Fluent written and spoken English. What we see as a plus - Understanding of RF design. - Experience with EMI simulation tools. - High-speed digital circuits design. - PCB development with FPGA. - DDR3/4/5 design experience. - CE, FCC and RED certification understanding. Location Tampere (on-site), full-time, permanent position.
