CMC is looking for a Hardware Engineer for Control Electronics to join a client in Southern Denmark. This is a fixed-term consultant assignment. You will operate either as an independent freelance consultant or as an employed consultant through CMC. Overview We are looking for an experienced Hardware Engineer with a strong background in control electronics development for a consultant assignment in Southern Denmark. The role will focus on the development of electronic control systems for advanced industrial applications. You will be involved throughout the full product lifecycle, from concept and specification through to validation and production support. Responsibilities • Design and develop electronic control hardware for embedded products. • Develop control and measurement circuits including sensors, I/O and HMI interfaces. • Support the full development lifecycle from concept, specification and design through to testing and production release. • Collaborate closely with software, mechanical and systems engineering teams. • Ensure compliance with relevant safety, EMC and industry standards. • Create and maintain technical documentation, design records and test reports. • Drive robust and reliable hardware design decisions to support product quality and maintainability. • Contribute to hardware architecture, product reuse and standardisation initiatives. Requirements • Degree-qualified engineer or equivalent relevant industry experience. • 5+ years of experience developing control electronics and embedded hardware systems. • Experience working with microcontroller-based designs. • Experience designing measurement, sensor and interface circuitry. • Good understanding of hardware validation, testing and troubleshooting. • Knowledge of EMC, product safety and regulatory compliance requirements. • Experience with PCB design tools such as OrCAD or similar ECAD platforms. • Strong documentation skills and experience working within structured development environments. • Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams. • Experience within industrial electronics, HVAC, refrigeration, energy, automation or related sectors would be beneficial.
