What you'll do

Create high-quality Group reporting, strong internal controls and transparent financial processes across out international organization. Would you like to help create and further develop the foundation that enables our European finance community to deliver high-quality consolidated reporting for decision makers and our owners on ongoing basis? On behalf of Scanmetals A/S, Leadr Recruitment is looking for a Group Finance Controller who combines strong group reporting and consolidation capabilities with curiosity for ERP, structure, IT tools and hands-on with data in an international environment. You will work closely with the Group CFO, the executive management team and local finance functions across four countries. You will be the main driver of strengthening reporting, controls and performance reporting including compliance with Danish and International accounting standards. Your role You will take on a broad role in Group Finance, working close to the business. You will take the lead in monthly reporting and closing, while also developing the structures, tools and decision support behind the figures. Your work will cover areas such consolidation including eliminations of P&L, balance sheet, cashflow, investments and KPI´s, securing data quality, development of our consolidation platform along with the master data to secure the foundation for high-quality reporting - giving management a more precise basis for taking decisions. Your key responsibilities:

  • Gather and quality-assure monthly group reporting for all subsidiaries across Denmark, Germany, Spain and the UK, including the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and operational KPIs.
  • Handle consolidation entries, intercompany reconciliations and group adjustments.
  • Drive and support month-end and year-end closing, coordinate documentation and participate in review meetings with the subsidiaries.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality data and work with IT to further develop reporting in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Power BI, consolidation system and related tools.
  • Contribute to financial budgets, forecasts, cash flow analyses and decision material for the CFO and executive management team.
  • Maintain and develop internal controls, accounting processes and compliance across countries and entities.
  • Coordinate audit activities and contribute to transfer pricing, tax, VAT, banking matters and the financial aspects of sustainability reporting.
  • Drive practical improvements, standardisation and automation across Group Finance.

What you bring:

  • A relevant master’s degree in finance, accounting, auditing or a comparable field.
  • Experience from audit - preferably from a larger audit firm - combined with solid experience in group accounting or consolidation.
  • A sound understanding of Danish and international financial reporting.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with ERP and reporting platforms. Experience with Business Central and Power BI is an advantage.
  • Fluent English. Danish and/or German is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Practical information The position reports to Group CFO Dan Jensen. The workplace is located in Slagelse, Denmark, with approximately 10-20 travel days per year. The position is full-time.
