Ready to shape global sourcing at Dinex? As our Global Category Manager, you will lead procurement for Chemicals, Precious Metals and Substrates and be the key Procurement partner for our OEM division. From quotation to serial production, you will drive competitive sourcing, supply security and lasting business value.
Procurement at Dinex
Reporting functionally to the Group Procurement Director, you will align global category strategy with local execution. You will work with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, Supply Chain, Sales and local management, strengthening early Procurement involvement and clear ownership before commercial or technical commitments are made.
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of progressive procurement experience with measurable business value creation, including at least 5 years in multinational manufacturing with global suppliers and stakeholders.
- Proven global category-management and strategic-sourcing experience, preferably in chemicals, precious metals, substrates, automotive materials or similarly complex commodities.
- Strong knowledge of cost structures, indexation, should-cost models, market intelligence, supplier economics, manufacturing processes and technical materials.
- Good knowledge of automotive quality, supplier-management and manufacturing standards, including IATF 16949 and ISO 9001, plus relevant supply-risk, sustainability, regulatory and responsible-sourcing requirements.
- A strategic, commercial and analytical mindset; outstanding negotiation, influencing and stakeholder-management skills, including executive-level supplier engagement. Structured project and category management, clear communication and strong business cases for senior stakeholders.
- Ability to lead across functions in an international matrix, manage multiple global initiatives and translate business needs into category priorities.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Experience with chemicals, precious metals, catalysts, substrates or automotive components, and markets in Europe, China, India, Turkey and/or North America, is an advantage. Knowledge of market-indexed agreements and total-cost models covering logistics, inventory and financing or metal leasing is desirable. Relevant training or certification in procurement, category management, negotiation, supply chain, automotive quality or project management is advantageous but not mandatory.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Own global category strategies and roadmaps aligned with business, technology and growth objectives. Leverage global demand, purchasing volume and manufacturing footprint, and identify consolidation, standardization, localization and dual-sourcing opportunities.
- Manage the full supplier lifecycle, from market analysis and competitive RFQs to negotiations, contracting, development and performance. Secure competitive commercial terms and appropriate contractual protection, strengthen supplier relationships and mitigate supply risks.
- Develop should-cost, benchmark, market-pricing and total-cost models. Translate market intelligence into sourcing actions and drive VA/VE with Engineering and Operations to deliver measurable savings, cost avoidance and margin improvement.
- Own OEM sourcing for new launches and lifecycle cost reductions, from RFQ through APQP, industrialization, launch and serial production. Support quotations and business cases with supplier pricing, cost inputs, market intelligence and sourcing scenarios.
- Represent Procurement in APQP reviews and ensure early involvement before specifications, sourcing decisions or commitments are finalized. Address supplier feasibility, capacity, timing, commercial terms and supply risks before project gates and customer commitments.
- Align customer and supplier agreements in both directions, ensuring obligations, commercial mechanisms, constraints and risks are reflected appropriately. Assess supplier and cost impacts of changes before commitments are finalized, and close gaps before production wherever practicable and during serial production.
- Establish global category standards, sourcing processes, templates and approvals to ensure Procurement governance. Track category KPIs and report savings, supplier performance, market developments, risks, opportunities and priorities to Group Procurement and senior management.
