Strategic Staffing Solutions customer is looking for an experienced, hands-on GenAI Technical Lead Consultant to join a leading financial institution's Generative AI team.
In this role, you will lead the technical direction, architecture, and delivery of AI-powered products for internal employees and corporate customers within a regulated banking environment.
You will combine technical leadership with hands-on software engineering, working closely with backend and frontend engineers, data scientists, designers, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical architecture of GenAI products, ensuring scalability, security, resilience, and maintainability.
- Lead technical planning, establish engineering standards, and guide architectural decisions.
- Develop production-quality code, conduct code reviews, and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Design and implement LLM-based solutions, including RAG, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, evaluation frameworks, and AI guardrails.
- Develop and integrate AI solutions using Python, AWS, and Amazon Bedrock.
- Ensure seamless integration with existing enterprise platforms, APIs, and legacy systems.
- Collaborate with security, architecture, legal, and risk teams to ensure compliance with GDPR, DORA, and internal governance requirements.
- Establish best practices for AI observability, monitoring, testing, and operational reliability.
- Communicate technical decisions, project progress, dependencies, and risks to stakeholders and senior leadership.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Technical Lead, Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, Solution Architect, or in a similar technical leadership role.
- Proven ability to lead technical architecture and engineering delivery for complex digital products.
- Strong hands-on Python development experience, particularly building and maintaining production backend services or AI applications.
- Practical experience delivering GenAI or LLM-based solutions into production.
- Experience with LLM technologies and patterns such as RAG, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, evaluation, and observability.
- Strong AWS experience, ideally including Amazon Bedrock, Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, IAM, CloudWatch, and S3.
- Experience designing and integrating APIs, including REST or event-driven architectures.
- Solid understanding of modern software engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, infrastructure as code, and monitoring.
- Experience designing secure, scalable, and maintainable enterprise solutions.
- Knowledge of secure software development, authentication, authorization, secrets management, and data protection.
- Experience working within governance, risk, security, or compliance frameworks.
- Strong English communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Previous experience in banking, financial services, or another regulated industry.
- Familiarity with GDPR, DORA, model risk management, and AI governance.
- Experience integrating cloud-based solutions with legacy or core banking systems.
- Knowledge of TypeScript, React, and modern frontend development.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
- Familiarity with vector databases, embedding models, and search technologies.
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar LLM frameworks.
- Experience developing customer-facing conversational AI products.
- Knowledge of AI safety controls, auditability, and human oversight.
