We are looking for a GCP Data Engineer (Fund and Portfolio Services) to one of our clients within Banking & Finance. Start date: 2026-10-26 End date: 2027-01-15 Location: Stockholm (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) About the assignment: We are seeking an experienced data engineer consultant to join a strategic initiative focused on developing a next-generation cloud data warehouse platform in GCP that will strengthen and enhance our business capabilities. You will be part of a collaborative, cross-functional team responsible for delivering end-to-end solutions, working with requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, and stakeholder engagement. The role requires close collaboration with both business and technical teams to drive successful outcomes. As a senior member of the team, you will provide technical leadership by mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, promoting best practices, and contributing to key architecture and design decisions. Profile & d Background:

  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing data integration solutions, data models, data structures, and scalable data pipelines within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong knowledge of data onboarding processes and best practices for integrating data from multiple source systems.
  • Experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring the reliability and performance of data platforms and pipelines.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and dbt (Data Build Tool) for data transformation, modeling, and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and scheduling.
  • Solid understanding of DevOps principles, with a focus on automation, operational excellence, and platform reliability.
  • Experience working with Gitlab and Github and modern version control practices in an Agile development environment.
  • Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support efficient and reliable software delivery.
  • Strong focus on testing, quality assurance, and test automation to ensure robust and maintainable solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, architects, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching developers, conducting code reviews, and contributing to architecture and design decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills with full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
