Gas Engineer | Tanker - LNG

Join OSM Thome as Gas Engineer on LNG tankers trading worldwide. You will be part of a professional shipboard team, ensuring safe and efficient operation of the cargo and gas systems. Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain LNG cargo, gas and reliquefaction systems
• Carry out routine inspections, troubleshooting and repairs on gas equipment
• Ensure safe cargo handling, cooling down, loading, discharging and gas freeing operations
• Keep accurate records, logs and reports related to cargo and gas plant performance
• Follow company and international safety procedures and environmental standards
• Support the deck and engine teams in all gas-related operations and training

Requirements

• Previous experience as Gas Engineer on LNG or other gas tankers
• Valid STCW certificates and all documents required for service on gas carriers
• Strong knowledge of LNG cargo handling systems and gas plant operations
• Good command of English, spoken and written
• Strong safety mindset, teamwork attitude and willingness to work worldwide
