What you'll do

Location: Stockholm, Sweden Position: Full-time Deadline: November 1, 2026 Start Date: ASAP / By agreement WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR: We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, communicative, and has a strong eye for form and function. You’re passionate about achieving the best possible fit and thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can work independently while being a true team player. As our Garment Technical Designer, you’ll be responsible for turning design ideas into finished, high-quality garments with exceptional fit and consistency. You’ll work closely with our Design and Buying teams and serve as the primary point of contact for our international suppliers in Asia and Europe. As part of a small, dedicated team, you’re also happy to roll up your sleeves and support wherever needed. ABOUT US: C’est Normal is a Scandinavian clothing brand creating multifunctional essentials for people who never fit the standard mold. We were born from a creative community that never lived by the usual script. What connected everyone wasn’t fashion. It was a way of seeing the world. A belief that “normal” is something you define yourself, not something handed to you. Our lives didn’t fit traditional boxes and neither did the clothes we wanted to wear, so we began creating pieces that matched our rhythm. Versatile, comfortable, easy to travel with, easy to live in. We’re a fast-growing, profitable e-commerce company with a small, dedicated team. We’re focused on creating high-quality garments that our customers love, wear often, and keep coming back for. Fit, comfort, and consistency are vital, and as our Garment Technical Designer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring every product meets those standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Product Development & Design Collaboration:

  • Develop products from sketch to finished product with great fit.
  • Follow up on and assess risks related to material selection and construction chosen by designers to ensure quality and functional requirements are met.
  • Assist designers with overviews and technical sketches, and lead product development when needed.
  • Responsible for print scaling and placement as well as inspecting and commenting on Pantone colors.

Fit, Measurement Charts & Tech Packs:

  • Use our base and body measurement charts to create, update, and quality-assure size specification sheets and tech packs prior to production
  • Measure sample garments and lead fitting sessions on fit models and mannequins (including larger fitting sessions to evaluate size grading).
  • Provide suppliers with clear, technical correction instructions and updates.

Grading, Details & Trims:

  • Ensure correct size grading across all sizes.
  • Follow up on trim quality and placement, and assist in building our internal trim library.

Quality Control & Supplier Contact:

  • Oversee quality control throughout the sampling process, ensuring high standards of stitching, construction, and overall garment quality through to final production.
  • Manage testing, take responsibility for care label instructions, and handle sample correspondence with suppliers.
  • Maintain daily email communication with suppliers in Asia and Europe, mostly regarding technical questions and fit. Give suppliers clear feedback on fit adjustments and follow through until corrections are made.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant degree/education in pattern making, garment construction, textile engineering, or textile design.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in menswear in a similar role such as Technical Designer, Pattern Maker, or Garment Technician.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, sewing techniques, material properties, and grading.
  • Experience working with suppliers in Asia and Europe, as well as handling tech packs.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, and Google Sheets / Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written (we are an English-speaking office).
  • Bonus: Experience with denim and/or technical fabrics, including washes, construction, and detailing.
