Full-Time Housekeeping Assistant

Text resize General Definition Of Work The Lee County General Services Department is looking for an energetic and dependable individual to fulfill the role of full-time Housekeeping Assistant. Employees in this position perform a variety of duties in the cleaning of all County-owned facilities. Essential functions include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing, cleaning restroom areas and replenishing supplies; cleaning up spills (including bodily fluids); cleaning windows, walls, woodwork, light fixtures and furniture; emptying trash receptacles and keeping them clean. Duties may also include physically strenuous activities such as moving furniture, working outside in extreme heat and cold conditions, and may be responsible for building security and lock-up. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Some knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment; ability to understand and follow oral and written directions; ability to perform manual work; ability to read; thoroughness, cleanliness; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the general public. Education And Experience Any combination of experience and training which provides knowledge of cleaning procedures and materials, the ability to follow instructions and the ability to perform light to medium physical work. Special Requirements Valid Driver’s license in the state of North Carolina.
