Full-Stack Software Engineer – IoT / Digital Twin 00SMART AS is a Norwegian smart-building technology company developing a vendor-independent Digital Twin and Automated Fault Detection and Diagnostics (AFDD) platform. Our platform connects operational data from HVAC systems, building management systems (SD/BMS), sensors, meters and IoT devices and turns this data into structured information for monitoring, fault detection, dashboards and Digital Twin visualisation. We are looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer – IoT / Digital Twin to strengthen and extend our existing platform. This is not a greenfield project. A substantial technical platform and architecture already exist. You will work closely with our Technical Lead, BMS/HVAC Engineer and AFDD/HVAC Scientific Lead to improve the existing system and support verification in real buildings. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs
• Develop frontend functionality and dashboards
• Work with React, Next.js and TypeScript
• Work with Node.js, PostgreSQL and time-series data
• Integrate BMS, IoT and external data sources
• Develop real-time data functionality
• Support Digital Twin visualisation
• Support AFDD data pipelines and integrations
• Review and improve existing code
• Improve testing, documentation and Git workflows
• Work with Docker and CI/CD
• Collaborate closely with technical and HVAC/BMS specialists

Qualifications

• Strong full-stack software-development experience
• Experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript or similar modern frameworks
• Backend-development and REST API experience
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar databases
• Git/GitHub and software-testing experience
• Docker and deployment experience
• Ability to understand and improve an existing complex software platform
• Good communication and documentation skills

Experience with IoT, MQTT, Node-RED, BACnet/BMS integrations, WebSockets, Redis, time-series data or Digital Twin technologies is an advantage. Requirements

• Currently based in Oslo or Greater Oslo
• Professional working proficiency in Norwegian and English
• Legally authorised to work in Norway
• Interested in joining 00SMART AS directly as an employee

This opportunity is intended for individual applicants. Consultancy companies are outside the scope of this position. Working arrangement

• Part-time / project-based
• Approx. 2 years
• Appointment subject to project funding being secured
• Exact workload, compensation and start date will be agreed with the selected candidate
