Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable applications using PHP/Laravel (Services, Queues, Eloquent).
• Design MySQL schemas and optimize queries for large datasets.
• Design REST APIs and integrate third-party services (payments, CRMs) with robust error handling.
• Maintain data-heavy React interfaces to deliver end-to-end features.
• Handle resilient web scraping, Stripe payment systems, and basic AWS infrastructure.
• Optimize server-side performance and implement security best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to ensure high performance and security.
• Participate in deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth application releases.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience, with a strong backend focus.
• PHP / Laravel – deep command of Eloquent, service classes, queues/jobs, migrations, events, and the broader ecosystem.
• SQL / relational data modeling (MySQL) – including performance tuning on large datasets.
• REST API design and auth patterns (OAuth, role/permission-based access).
• Experience integrating third-party APIs (payments, CRM, email/SMS) with robust error handling.
• Working proficiency in React (hooks, state management) – enough to build and maintain data-heavy UI features end-to-end.
• Solid Git workflow, code review habits, and a bias toward maintainable, well-tested code.
• Strong problem-solving skills, proactive communication, and ability to take full product ownership in an agile environment.

Nice to Have

• Web scraping at scale (Goutte / headless browser / Selenium) and keeping scrapers resilient to site changes.
• Familiarity with Laravel Passport, Spatie Permissions, Laravel Cashier, Maatwebsite Excel, or PDF tooling (DomPDF / FPDI).
• Experience working with geospatial data (spatial queries, coordinates/mapping).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and server management.
