Backed by top European venture funds, this pre-seed startup is rebuilding audit from the ground up as an operating system for European businesses. Instead of manually inspecting a random sample of invoices, their deterministic data engine tests every single transaction—delivering upfront fixed pricing, 20-minute onboarding, and full sign-off from state-authorised auditors. As Founding Engineer, you will own the agent layer from day one: the autonomous system that plans, executes, and validates audit work, alongside the machinery that allows it to improve from auditor feedback. This is a role for an engineer who wants to solve ambiguous, one-line business problems directly with subject-matter experts, not someone waiting for a groomed Jira backlog. If you want a predictable sprint schedule and predefined roadmaps, this will be the wrong seat; if you want to architect real-world agentic infrastructure in production, this is it. The work

• Architect and own the autonomous agent layer that ingests financial data, plans audit procedures, executes tests, and verifies statutory evidence.
• Build the evals and continuous feedback loops that allow the system to learn and improve reliability from auditor interventions.
• Collaborate directly with state-authorised auditors to translate international auditing standards (ISA), materiality, and evidence thresholds into deterministic code.
• Own system reliability and execution workflows end to end across TypeScript, Fastify, React, Postgres, and Temporal.
• Set the foundational engineering standards, tooling choices, and technical culture as one of the first engineers on the ground.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated track record of shipping production systems you were personally accountable for end to end, not just contributing to shared repositories.
• Pragmatic, battle-tested opinions on LLM systems derived from measuring latency, reliability, and evals in production, rather than just prompting APIs.
• Ability to decompose complex, ambiguous real-world processes directly alongside domain experts and translate them into strict software specifications.
• Based in or relocating to Oslo, with a strong preference for working in-person alongside the team roughly four days a week.
