Fitter (FTR) | Tanker - LPG - Chemical

Join OSM Thome as a Fitter on LPG and Chemical Tankers trading worldwide. You will be part of the deck and engine team, keeping all steel work and fittings in safe and reliable condition to support smooth cargo and vessel operations.

• Key responsibilities:
• Carry out steel repairs, cutting, grinding and welding as instructed by Chief Engineer
• Maintain and repair pipelines, brackets, supports, ladders, handrails and other fittings
• Assist with maintenance of deck and engine machinery as required
• Prepare and use welding and cutting equipment safely
• Follow all safety procedures, permits and PPE requirements, especially in cargo areas
• Keep tools, workshop and work areas clean and well organized
• Requirements:
• Previous experience as Fitter on seagoing tankers (LPG and/or Chemical preferred)
• Valid seaman’s documents and medical certificate meeting international standards
• Recognized welding and gas-cutting skills (ARC/MIG/TIG an advantage)
• Good English communication for work and safety instructions
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work independently and in a team
