What you'll do
FIRST MATE | 100FT SAILING YACHT A 100ft Wally performance sailing yacht is seeking an experienced First Mate to join its race and cruising programme. The yacht is Mediterranean-based and will spend the winter undergoing maintenance in Palma. Summer 2027 will include owner cruising and four regattas. Candidates should have 3–4 years’ experience within the superyacht sailing industry, ideally aboard similarly sized performance yachts. Strong racing and offshore sailing experience is essential, alongside good knowledge of engineering and hydraulic systems. The First Mate will assist with the yacht’s technical preparation and maintenance, lead the deck team and manage spare parts, equipment, inventories and shipping-container logistics. Excellent Excel skills are essential, as the role involves maintaining detailed daily reports and accurate inventory records. Candidates must be highly organised, detail-oriented and proactive. Requirements:
- Yachtmaster CoC
- Valid STCW certificates
- Strong racing and offshore experience
- Engineering and hydraulic knowledge
- Excellent Excel and inventory-management skills
- Confident team leader with a strong work ethic
