Role snapshot
If you are a current DSV employee and interested in a position in another country, please contact your Human Resource representative to discuss the process and requirements of applying. Job Req Number: 124301 Time Type: Full Time Turn approved ideas into organised, execution-ready projects Would you like to play a pivotal role in a major global finance transformation, ensuring that important initiatives get off to a strong and structured start? This is your opportunity to work at the centre of DSV’s Finance Transformation organisation, connecting project demand, functional expertise and project delivery. You will ensure continuity from the initial assessment of an initiative until an appointed Project Manager is fully operational and ready to take ownership. You will bring the right experts together, coordinate the information and decisions required to mobilise the project, and turn an approved idea into a clear and organised project setup. “A strong project start is critical to successful delivery. In this role, you will ensure that approved initiatives do not lose momentum while a project organisation is being established. You will bring structure, transparency and active coordination to the mobilisation phase, enabling the Project Manager and delivery teams to take over from a solid foundation,” explains Daniel Obst, Director, Finance Transformation Office. Join an international Finance Transformation organisation Based at our global headquarters in Hedehusene, Denmark, you will join DSV’s Finance Transformation department, consisting of more than 90 international colleagues working across functions, countries and time zones. Our organisation helps DSV improve and standardise its global finance processes, systems and data. We manage a broad portfolio of transformation initiatives, including technology-enabled process improvements, country implementations, integration activities and new finance solutions. You will become part of the Finance Transformation Office, which provides portfolio oversight and connects initiatives across Finance, Technology and the wider business. The office helps ensure that the right initiatives are prioritised, properly prepared and set up to deliver measurable value. Mobilise projects from initial assessment to Project Manager handover As Finance Transformation Mobilisation Lead, you will coordinate the early stages of several potential and approved projects in parallel. During the initial assessment of an initiative, you will identify which Finance, Technology and specialist functions need to contribute. You will coordinate their input into scope clarification, effort estimates, dependencies, assumptions and open questions, ensuring that decision-makers have the information required to determine whether and how the initiative should proceed. Once an initiative has been approved, you will act as the temporary coordination point until a Project Manager is appointed and operational. You will facilitate the preparation of an initial project setup that gives the Project Manager a clear and usable basis for taking over. The role is accountable for orchestrating the mobilisation process. You will not be expected to define specialist content yourself or remain responsible for project delivery. Instead, your ability to involve the right experts, ask the right questions and create clarity across multiple contributors will be central to your success. Specifically, you will:
A hybrid of project professional and transformation practitioner We are looking for someone who combines strong project structuring and planning capabilities with a practical understanding of complex business transformation. You do not need to be the deepest expert in every Finance or technology area. However, you must understand transformation delivery well enough to recognise gaps, ask informed questions, connect dependencies and ensure that specialist input becomes part of one coherent project setup. We imagine that you:
Experience with enterprise resource planning implementations, particularly SAP, finance process transformation, country rollouts or post-merger integration would be beneficial. Experience with project portfolio management tools, Microsoft Project, Power BI or similar planning and reporting solutions would also be helpful, but is not a prerequisite. Formal project management or continuous improvement certifications, such as PMP, PRINCE2 or Lean Six Sigma, may be advantageous. However, we place greater emphasis on relevant delivery experience, sound judgement and the ability to create alignment in a complex environment. Want to know more and apply?
