Film Producer – Hybrid Documentary Project

This is an opportunity for an experienced film producer to join a unique hybrid documentary project based in Stockholm, with potential travel involved. The film explores the journey of a director creating a documentary about Zarathustra, the prophet, who becomes entangled in teaching skinheads about the Aryan Brotherhood, culminating in an unexpected twist. Running parallel is a silent narrative following a political Zoroastrian refugee from their homeland to a refugee camp. The project is primarily in Swedish with segments in English, and aims to blend symbolic storytelling with impactful visual imagery. The script and creative vision are established, and the project seeks a producer who can bring organizational expertise and creative sensitivity to realize the director’s vision while preserving the original imagery and intent. Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of film production from pre-production through post-production
• Collaborate closely with the director and creative team to ensure the vision and narrative integrity are maintained
• Manage budgets, schedules, and logistics for a hybrid project with both Swedish and English language components
• Coordinate casting, crew hiring, and location scouting in Stockholm and potentially other locations
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including writers, directors, and production companies
• Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and industry standards throughout the production process
• Support the development of marketing and distribution strategies for the completed film

Skills And Requirements

• Proven experience as a film producer on documentary or hybrid narrative projects
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle complex, multi-language productions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with fluency in Swedish and English preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with creative teams and manage diverse stakeholders
• Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation for film projects
• Familiarity with the Swedish film industry and international co-productions is highly desirable
• Ability to travel as required for production needs
• Passion for innovative storytelling and sensitivity to cultural and symbolic themes
