Field Service Engineer - Instrumentation Radar Systems

As part of this growth, we are looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our Aftermarket Service Team within Instrumentation. This is an opportunity to build deep technical expertise, work close to advanced radar technology and support customers in demanding real-world environments. Your role As Field Service Engineer in the Instrumentation team, you will work with Weibel radar systems used by customers worldwide for high-precision test, measurement and tracking applications. You will play a key role in keeping our global customers satisfied by supporting the full lifecycle from final system testing and delivery to operation, maintenance and aftermarket service. Your primary tasks include:

• Pre-FAT / SAT system testing and Customer FAT / SAT testing
• Installation, integration and acceptance testing of Weibel radar systems
• Customer support and incident handling, both on site and remotely
• On-site mission support at customer locations
• Preventive maintenance, upgrades and service tasks
• System performance, service and maintenance documentation
• Root cause analysis and recommendations for corrective actions
• Training of customer personnel in system operation and maintenance

We offer continuous training, and your responsibilities will increase as your expertise grows. Over time, you will build specialist knowledge of our systems and become an important technical point of contact for customers. The role includes international travel of up to 100 days per year, sometimes on short notice, and you must be able to travel freely within the EU and enter the United States under an ESTA permit or equivalent. Your profile We are looking for a service-minded technical professional with a solid technical foundation and motivation to develop into a specialist within complex radar systems. You enjoy taking ownership, working hands-on and supporting customers in a professional way. We imagine that you bring:

• A relevant technical education, such as engineering or another technical background at min. bachelor level
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical and RF schematics
• Good understanding of IT systems, electronic and mechanical principles
• Hands-on experience with electronics, tools and test equipment
• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English
• As a person, you work in a structured way, stay calm when conditions change and communicate confidently with both colleagues and customers.
