What you'll do

Expansion Manager As Expansion Manager, you'll be the first Monil employee on the ground in new markets we enter. You'll do the early sales yourself, learn how the market actually works, and iterate on our go-to-market approach. Once traction is proven, you'll recruit and hand over to a local Head of Sales, help them build their team, and put in place the structure that lets the market run without you. Then you move on to the next one! We're looking for someone who can lead our rapid growth from the front, with the experience and the people skills to build trust and structure in each market. What you'll be responsible for - Be the first Monil employee in new markets, doing hands-on sales and building the first customer relationships. - Learn the market: buyer behavior, competition, pricing, regulation, and what it takes to earn a farmer's trust and feed learnings back to the commercial team. - Work closely with headquarters to build the initial go-to-market, positioning, pricing, and a first sales process that works locally. - Recruit the local sales team who will take over and grow the market long-term. - Build the first local team and lead onboarding until your successor is self-sufficient. - Set up the structure and processes, systems, reporting, ways of working, the market needs to function without you. - Own and develop a scalable way of entering new markets, and execute on this plan making each new launch faster and smarter than the last. What we’re looking for - You bring at least 4+ years of relevant experience in market expansion, business development, management consulting or a commercial role in a startup or scale-up. - You’ve built something from the ground up-whether opening a market, developing a new business opportunity or leading a significant project from idea to execution. - You have strong commercial instincts. You spot growth opportunities and are comfortable selling and negotiating yourself, even if your background isn’t in sales. - You’re highly structured and can show how you’ve turned an ambiguous challenge into clear priorities, practical plans and measurable results. - You have the ability to turn market insights and early experiments into documented processes that a growing local team can build on. - You use data to understand where demand is emerging, track progress and make informed decisions. - You adapt well to different cultures and ways of working, and are willing and able to travel extensively to the markets we’re opening. - You are fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken. - You have experience recruiting and building teams It would be an advantage if you also have: - Experience with buisness development in a new market or building an early sales pipeline, with tangible sales results. - Experience in agriculture or working with farmers. - Additional language skills and experience working across international markets. What we offer - A central role in shaping and executing Monil’s international expansion. - The opportunity to build new markets from the ground up, with real ownership from the first customer to the first local team. - The freedom to develop a scalable market-entry model and improve it with every launch. - Close collaboration with Monil’s leadership team and colleagues across our commercial, product and operational functions. - A fast-growing, international environment with ambitious and supportive colleagues. - Significant opportunities to grow your scope as Monil expands into new markets. - Competitive compensation Practical information The role is based in Norway and reports to the CCO. Final deadline for applying is October 25. To apply, please submit your CV and a short application outlining the experience and personal qualities that make you a strong fit for this role. Keep it concise and specific, using relevant examples to show why you would succeed.
