EQS Complaint Handler About the role We are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist with experience in complaint handling to join a global and collaborative quality organization in Uppsala. In this role, you will be responsible for managing service-related complaints throughout their lifecycle – from initial intake and assessment to investigation, corrective actions and final closure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand customer issues, identify root causes, assess risks and ensure that appropriate actions are implemented in a timely and compliant manner.   • Work model: Primarily on-site during onboarding. Once fully trained, a hybrid setup is possible, with the opportunity to work both on-site and remotely. You should, however, be comfortable working on-site when required.

This is a role for someone who enjoys combining quality assurance, technical problem-solving and stakeholder collaboration. You will have an important role in ensuring that complaints are handled consistently, efficiently and in accordance with applicable quality and regulatory requirements. About the team The Quality organization is responsible for ensuring that the service organization consistently delivers safe, compliant and high-quality support to customers. The team oversees quality processes across the service lifecycle, including:

  • Complaint handling
  • Investigations and root cause analysis
  • CAPA
  • Change control
  • Service readiness
  • Supplier quality
  • Continuous improvement

You will work in a highly collaborative and international environment, partnering with service teams, technical functions and global quality organizations across different regions. The team's work contributes to identifying risks, investigating issues and driving sustainable improvements - ultimately supporting product reliability, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance and patient safety. Key responsibilities As an EQS Complaint Handler, you will:

  • Own and coordinate the complaint handling process, ensuring timely intake, assessment, investigation, documentation, escalation and closure.
  • Review and triage incoming complaints and ensure they are directed to the appropriate departments and stakeholders.
  • Assess complaints to determine whether corrections, investigations, containment actions or CAPAs are required.
  • Lead and coordinate complaint investigations together with cross-functional teams.
  • Support root cause analysis and assess product, process and customer impact.
  • Ensure appropriate corrective and preventive actions are identified, documented and followed up.
  • Monitor complaint cases to ensure timely closure and compliance with applicable procedures and requirements.
  • Evaluate complaint data to identify recurring issues, adverse trends and potential systemic risks.
  • Support escalation processes where required, including containment, product hold and field action activities.
  • Ensure that complaint documentation is complete, accurate and compliant with the applicable quality system.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across Service Engineering, Supply Chain, Technical teams and Quality.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and other quality assurance activities as required.

Who are we looking for? We are looking for a structured, analytical and collaborative quality professional who enjoys investigating problems and finding practical, evidence-based solutions. To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Experience managing complaint handling processes.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting complaint investigations, root cause analysis and risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of complaint handling requirements under ISO 13485, ISO 9001 or an equivalent quality management system.
  • Experience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS) for complaint management, CAPA and/or change control.
  • Experience working within a regulated quality environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • A good technical aptitude and the ability to understand and work with technical documentation and procedures.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities effectively.
