Enterprise Architect-Salesforce Architecture Lead

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Architecture Lead to provide strategic, enterprise-level architecture leadership across Salesforce transformation initiatives. The role will focus on aligning Salesforce architecture with the organization's business vision, technology strategy, enterprise architecture, and desired business outcomes. You will work closely with executives, business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to establish architecture governance, define standards, oversee solution design, and ensure successful implementation. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Salesforce architecture, enterprise integration, governance, solution design, data strategy, and large-scale transformation programs. Key Responsibilities

• Architecture Strategy & Governance
• Support the establishment and operationalization of the Salesforce Architecture Design Authority.
• Define and advise on architecture governance structures, policies, standards, and decision-making processes.
• Develop and maintain architecture playbooks covering:
• Functional design
• Technical design
• Salesforce platform best practices
• Architecture review and feedback processes
• Define and promote Salesforce architecture design principles and standards.
• Provide technical oversight during Program Increment (PI) planning, prioritization, and release planning.
• Establish best practices across requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Provide strategic architectural guidance and vision to senior leadership and executives.
• Ensure Salesforce architecture aligns with the organization's enterprise architecture and long-term technology strategy.
• Contribute to overall IT architecture roadmap planning.
• Technical & Solution Architecture
• Lead and review the overall Salesforce solution architecture.
• Provide architectural guidance across Salesforce products, capabilities, and platform roadmap.
• Conduct technical and architecture design reviews to ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices and organizational standards.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate architecture tools, technologies, frameworks, and implementation approaches.
• Define and advise on integration architecture and strategy between Salesforce and enterprise systems.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with long-term business requirements.
• Identify architectural risks, constraints, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Solution Implementation Oversight
• Provide architectural oversight throughout Salesforce implementation and delivery.
• Identify opportunities for architecture optimization and technical debt reduction.
• Support the definition and implementation of data governance and data quality strategies.
• Review and advise development teams on Salesforce build and configuration best practices.
• Participate in build and technical quality reviews to ensure compliance with agreed architecture standards.
• Provide guidance on complex development challenges, technical issues, and solution design decisions.
• Ensure implementation decisions remain aligned with the approved target architecture.
• Strategic Planning & Transformation
• Co-create and support the execution of comprehensive Salesforce transformation strategies and technology roadmaps.
• Ensure transformation initiatives are aligned with the existing enterprise technology architecture and future-state vision.
• Support program governance structures and methodologies to enable effective project and program steering.
• Establish and improve reporting processes to monitor transformation progress against strategic goals and roadmaps.
• Provide regular updates on progress, risks, challenges, dependencies, and achievements to senior stakeholders.
• Support effective scope, dependency, risk, and change management across Salesforce initiatives.
• Stakeholder & Executive Engagement
• Partner with executives, department heads, business leaders, IT teams, and external implementation partners.
• Translate complex technical and architectural concepts into clear business-oriented recommendations.
• Facilitate architecture discussions and decision-making across business and technology stakeholders.
• Build consensus around architectural standards, priorities, and transformation objectives.
• Provide periodic architectural and program updates to senior leadership.
• Act as a trusted architecture advisor throughout the Salesforce transformation journey.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Salesforce Architect, Salesforce Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Architecture Lead.
• Strong experience designing and governing enterprise Salesforce solutions.
• Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, platform capabilities, integration patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with Salesforce governance and Architecture Design Authority frameworks.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture across:
• Business Architecture
• Information/Data Architecture
• Application Architecture
• Technology Architecture
• Strong experience with Salesforce integration architecture and enterprise system integration.
• Experience working on large-scale Salesforce transformation or implementation programs.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, technical debt, and architecture optimization.
• Experience conducting architecture and technical design reviews.
• Experience working with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of program governance, roadmap planning, dependency management, and transformation execution.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and consulting skills.
