Embedded Test Automation Engineer

Role: Embedded Test Automation & Verification Engineer Location: Stockholm, Sweden Rate: 750 SEK per hour Duration: 12 months, with potential for extension We are supporting our partner in Stockholm in their search for an experienced Embedded Test Automation & Verification Engineer with hands-on experience in C/C++ and some Python. The role focuses on developing and maintaining automated test solutions, integrating and verifying embedded software and system functionality, and supporting quality activities throughout the software and system development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

• Integrate and verify functionality across embedded software, firmware, hardware, and communication interfaces.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Python and pytest.
• Develop test strategies and test cases based on system requirements and technical risk assessments.
• Perform HIL, integration, and system-level testing using real hardware.
• Troubleshoot issues across hardware, firmware, software, communication interfaces, and test environments.
• Analyse logs, automated test results, measurement data, fault conditions, and system behaviour.
• Perform structured root cause analysis and support defect resolution.
• Work closely with embedded software developers, hardware engineers, system engineers, and other cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to improving test coverage, automation, verification processes, and overall product quality.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in embedded software and test automation, with strong practical knowledge of C/C++ and ideally some Python. You should be comfortable working independently on verification activities while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary development teams. Experience with pytest, HIL testing, system integration, requirements-based verification, Git, Linux, and automated test environments would be highly relevant.
