Embedded Software & Verification Engineer

Embedded Software & Verification Engineer A leading company within a highly regulated industry is seeking an experienced Embedded Software & Verification Engineer to support the development of next-generation connected products. This position offers the opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle, combining embedded software development, verification, validation and test automation within a collaborative cross-functional engineering environment. The Role You will be responsible for verifying and validating embedded software for innovative products, working closely with software, electronics, systems and test engineers to ensure high levels of quality, reliability and performance. Key responsibilities include:

• Software verification and validation of embedded systems
• Developing and maintaining automated test solutions
• Creating and executing integration, system and component-level tests
• Debugging software and hardware-related issues
• Supporting requirements analysis and requirements-based testing
• Working with cross-functional engineering teams to investigate and resolve defects
• Contributing to continuous improvements in software quality and testing processes
• Producing clear technical documentation and test reports

Requirements We are looking for engineers with experience in several of the following areas:

• Embedded C and/or C++ development
• Software Verification & Validation (V&V)
• Test automation using Python, Pytest, Robot Framework or similar tools
• Embedded Linux or RTOS-based systems
• Integration, system and component testing
• Hardware-connected testing environments
• Debugging and diagnostics of embedded software
• Requirements-based testing and traceability
• CI/CD and automated testing environments
