Embedded Linux Teamlead

The Embedded Systems department consists of approximately 17 engineers, including OS developers, software test engineers and DevOps specialists. The Linux platform team is responsible for delivering software platforms and core operating system functionality used across multiple products and development projects. We are looking for an experienced Embedded Linux Team Lead who can combine strong technical expertise with leadership and coordination skills. The assignment includes both hands-on software development and responsibility for coordinating a team delivering software for new product development projects, as well as sustaining and maintenance activities for released products. In this role, you will:

• Lead and coordinate a Linux software development team
• Plan and drive software deliveries and technical activities
• Facilitate backlog refinement and sprint planning activities
• Monitor progress, identify risks and communicate status to stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with Program Management
• Coordinate work with other disciplines, including Middleware Software, User Interface Software, Electronics and Verification & Validation
• Contribute as a senior software developer while leading the team

Job requirements Mandatory

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Embedded Linux development
• Strong programming skills in C
• Experience with Linux kernel development
• Experience with device driver development
• Deep understanding of Linux-based embedded systems
• Experience with Git-based development workflows
• Experience with Yocto-based build environments
• Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and coordinate complex software deliveries
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience using AI-assisted software development tools in daily engineering work
• Excellent English skills, both verbal and written

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ARM-based embedded platforms
• Experience with BSP (Board Support Package) development
• Experience with camera, sensor or imaging-related products
• Experience with GitHub Copilot, AI-assisted code generation, automated testing or agentic development workflows
• Experience with Zephyr RTOS
• Swedish, both verbal and written
