What you'll do

Imagine working at a company whose ultimate mission is to send people on the adventure of a lifetime! At Polar Latitudes Expeditions, we operate globally with modern vessels dedicated to polar expeditions in the Arctic and Antarctica. We specialize in unique and educational journeys where sustainability, authenticity, and quality are always at the forefront. Following a recent merger, we are establishing our new brand with entities in Denmark, the USA, and Australia, supported by an ambitious growth plan aimed at making Polar Latitudes Expeditions a preferred choice for both travelers and trade partners. This is an opportunity to join us at a formative stage as we build the next chapter of the Polar Latitudes Expeditions brand. About the Role: Email Marketing & Communications Specialist We're looking for a hands-on marketing and communication specialist with 3+ years of digital marketing experience to own our email marketing channel end-to-end and support how Polar Latitudes Expeditions communicates with media, partners, and other external audiences. This is a high-ownership role. With email marketing being an increasingly successful source of engagement and revenue, and we’re looking for someone who approaches it as a growth channel: setting targets, testing ideas, analyzing performance, improving results, and ensuring every communication is on brand. Alongside email you’ll support our PR and communications activity, helping us build relationships with journalists, creators, and trade media and tell the Polar Latitudes Expeditions story to audiences around the world. This is a full-time position, preferably based in Copenhagen, although remote candidates may also be considered for the right profile. You'll initially report to the Head of Marketing and, as the team grows, collaborate closely with the Content Manager and colleagues across Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia. Key Responsibilities Email Marketing (Primary Focus)

  • Plan, build, send, and report email campaigns in our CRM: newsletters, promotions, lifecycle and nurture flows, automation, and trade communications
  • A/B test subject lines, creatives, and CTAs to boost open rates, CTR, conversion, and revenue per send
  • Own the email calendar end-to-end, aligning with promotional, expedition, and editorial plans
  • Grow and optimize our different audience segments and implement outreach strategies/nurture email flows across our consumer, trade, and media audiences.
  • Brief design colleagues to produce on-brand assets

PR & Media Support

  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant travel, adventure, luxury, sustainability, and trade media as well as selected digital creators and podcasts
  • Identify and pitch relevant stories, destination angles, company news, and expedition opportunities
  • Draft press releases, media alerts, pitches, and supporting background materials
  • Maintain an organized media database and support ongoing media outreach and follow-up.

Your Profile

  • 3+ years of hands-on digital marketing experience, with demonstrable experience owning commercial email marketing campaigns.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot Marketing Suite or a comparable CRM and marketing automation platform, including email tools, lists, workflows, and nurture automation
  • Strong writing and editing skills: you can move between a conversational newsletter voice, a pitch to a journalist, and a formal corporate announcement
  • Commercially minded and comfortable working with data: you can interpret campaign performance, explain what happened, and identify what to improve next.Highly organized, detail oriented, and comfortable managing multiple campaigns and deadlines with a high degree of independence
  • Some experience or exposure to PR, media outreach, or communications-related work
  • Basic HTML knowledge for email templates
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign)
  • Experience in travel, tourism, or outdoor/adventure brands is an advantage

Why Join Polar Latitudes Expeditions? At Polar Latitudes Expeditions, you will become part of a close-knit team where there is a short path from idea to action. We’ve retained some of the speed and flexibility from our startup years but are now in an exciting transition, building stronger structures and more scalable ways of working, without losing the fun and informal atmosphere of everyday life. You'll join at a pivotal stage in our growth, with the opportunity to shape how we use email and CRM rather than simply inherit a finished program.
