Electronics R&D Engineer

Electronics Engineer – PCB Design & EMC Our client is a well-established Norwegian engineering company with a strong international footprint, delivering control systems and hardware solutions to maritime and industrial markets worldwide. They're broadening their product offering, shifting from component-level supply to fully integrated systems, and are putting fresh investment into R&D to support that shift. It's a period of real growth, and this hire will have genuine influence over how the next generation of products gets built. The role: You'll take on a wide-ranging technical role spanning PCB design, EMC compliance, and a degree of system-level hardware integration. It's a hands-on position with real ownership, working on products deployed around the world. What we're looking for:

• 5+ years of electronics engineering experience, ideally gained in an industrial setting
• Expert-level PCB design (schematic capture and layout, e.g. Altium, KiCad, or similar)
• Hands-on experience with EMC/EMI design principles, testing, and troubleshooting (CE/FCC compliance a plus)
• Practical experience with test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and EMC chambers
• Familiarity with relevant standards, ideally including IEC 60945 (maritime equipment) alongside general EMC standards
• Track record of taking hardware from concept through to certified, manufactured product
• Comfortable wearing many hats — supporting operations, procurement, and manufacturing as needed
• Willing to mentor other engineers
