What you'll do
Electrician (ELEC) – Bulk Carrier – Worldwide Flag: Marshall Islands | Joining Port: TBA Description Electrician required for a bulk carrier under Marshall Islands flag, trading worldwide. The electrician will be responsible for safe and reliable operation, maintenance and repair of all electrical and electronic systems on board. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot vessel electrical installations, switchboards and distribution systems
- Carry out planned maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment
- Attend to breakdowns and fault-finding on power generation and automation systems
- Maintain and repair cargo cranes and deck electrical systems
- Ensure electrical safety and compliance with class and flag requirements
- Keep proper records of maintenance and electrical spare parts
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year sea service as Electrician (ELEC), preferably on bulk carriers
- Experience with IHI cranes (required/preferred)
- Valid ETO/ETR Certificate
- Valid STCW certificates as required for the rank
- Good knowledge of shipboard electrical and automation systems
- Able to work independently and as part of the ship’s team
