Electrical Commissioning Technician – Data Centre Contract Duration: 2–3 Months Initially Sector: Data Centres / Critical Infrastructure A bout the Opportunity We are currently recruiting experienced Electrical Commissioning Technicians to support the delivery of a major data centre project. Working alongside an established commissioning team, successful candidates will support the testing, inspection, troubleshooting and commissioning of electrical infrastructure within a mission-critical environment. This is an excellent opportunity for hands-on electrical professionals with experience across LV/MV systems, critical power infrastructure and electrical commissioning. Key Responsibilities

• Support the pre-commissioning and commissioning of electrical systems across a large-scale data centre development.
• Perform electrical inspections, testing and verification of LV/MV switchgear and power distribution equipment.
• Assist with functional testing of UPS systems, batteries, generators and associated critical power infrastructure.
• Carry out electrical testing, fault identification and troubleshooting.
• Support commissioning engineers and supervisors during system testing and energisation activities.
• Complete commissioning checklists, test records and associated technical documentation.
• Identify and report defects, outstanding works and commissioning punch-list items.
• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors and equipment vendors to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure all activities comply with relevant electrical safety procedures, RAMS and site requirements.
• Support system readiness, testing and final handover activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Electrical Commissioning Technician, Electrical Technician or Commissioning Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with LV/MV electrical systems.
• Experience with switchgear, electrical distribution, testing and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of electrical drawings, single-line diagrams and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and commissioning procedures.
• Previous experience on data centre, industrial, energy or other mission-critical projects.
• Good understanding of electrical safety, isolation and LOTO procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary site team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
