Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to support customer-focused engineering projects within the power generation and industrial sectors. This role focuses on the design, documentation, and delivery of low-voltage electrical systems and equipment for complex customer projects. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of reliable, high-quality electrical solutions while supporting project execution and technical problem solving in a collaborative engineering environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver electrical engineering designs for customer projects within the energy and industrial sectors.
  • Take ownership of assigned design packages, ensuring quality, schedule, cost, and customer requirements are met.
  • Design and document low-voltage systems and equipment, including:
  • Variable frequency drives and converters
  • Starter motor systems
  • Battery systems
  • Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems
  • Low-voltage switchgear
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation and engineering deliverables.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including project management, manufacturing, site operations, procurement, suppliers, and external partners to ensure customer requirements are translated into practical, high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Support projects throughout the complete lifecycle, from design and documentation through assembly support and project execution.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, installation, commissioning, procurement, suppliers, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Provide technical support during assembly, testing, commissioning, and site activities.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective customer solutions.
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative, inclusive, and safety-focused team environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 10 + years of experience in electrical engineering within industrial, energy, power generation, or similar environments.
  • Experience designing and documenting low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical equipment and power distribution systems.
  • Experience using electrical engineering and design tools.
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and engineering information management tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Swedish, both written and verbal.
  • Strong collaboration, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within power generation, energy infrastructure, or heavy industrial projects.
  • Familiarity with electrical design and power system analysis software.
  • Experience with UPS systems, battery systems, or related energy storage technologies.
  • Experience configuring, commissioning, or troubleshooting industrial drive systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical system integration and commissioning activities.
  • Experience supporting projects during manufacturing, testing, or site installation phases.
  • Experience with engineering data management platforms such as COMOS.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Experience with power system analysis tools such as ETAP.
  • Experience with industrial drive systems and commissioning tools, including Siemens drive technologies.
