Electrical Engineer - Large-Scale Data Centre Project - Data Centre Experience not essential Location: Europe -19/9 rotation - Norway Multiple contractors required Contract rate: €700+ per day, depending on experience Contract type: Freelance/contract Eligibility: Applicants must hold EU nationality and have the unrestricted right to work and travel across the EU We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of a major data centre construction project in Europe. This is an opportunity to join a large-scale, technically complex programme and work alongside multidisciplinary construction, commissioning and client teams. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee electrical installation works across the project.
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, method statements and design documentation.
  • Coordinate HV/LV systems, switchgear, UPS, generators, transformers and power-distribution packages.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, quality, safety and programme compliance.
  • Resolve technical issues and manage design changes on site.
  • Support testing, commissioning, inspections and handover activities.
  • Produce progress reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Ensure works comply with project standards, local regulations and relevant European codes.

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree or recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale data centre, mission-critical or industrial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical infrastructure and commissioning processes.
  • Experience working with main contractors, specialist subcontractors and client teams.
  • Excellent coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Europe.
  • EU nationality and unrestricted EU work and travel rights are essential.
