At OSTP, you will play a key role in developing and implementing our safety, quality and management systems—ensuring that our operations meet the highest standards and continuously improve.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an EHSQ Engineer, you are responsible for driving and ensuring the practical implementation of safety, environmental, and quality practices across the organization.

You act as a key link between standards, requirements, and daily operations—ensuring that legal obligations, ISO standards, and company practices are effectively applied and continuously improved.

YOUR ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

  • Drive safety and quality performance, including follow-up of deviations and corrective actions
  • Promote a strong safety and quality culture and ensure consistent practices across the organization
  • Develop processes, ways of working, and awareness across teams
  • Lead and coordinate selected safety-related activities, improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001), and internal requirements

You will be part of a team of six professionals within the SSQ department, collaborating closely across the organization.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

  • A B.Sc. in Engineering (e.g. Chemical, Mechanical or similar)
  • Experience from industrial environments (safety, quality or systems work is an advantage)
  • A structured and proactive way of working, with strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to analyze deviations and drive improvements
  • Good communication skills in Finnish, Swedish and English
  • Knowledge of ISO management systems and safety legislation

WHY JOIN OSTP?

  • You will have a central role in shaping a strong safety culture, improving quality performance, and supporting sustainable operations—with real impact on everyday work at our Pietarsaari site.
  • Opportunity to drive development in a industrial environment
  • A collaborative and professional team atmosphere
  • Close interaction with multiple functions and stakeholders
