What you'll do

EHS Advisor Location: Sweden Contract Type: Contract Position Working Pattern: 3 Week Rotation

  • Week 1: Early morning flight to arrive on site no later than noon on Monday. (Monday 12pm - 4pm & Tuesday - Saturday 7am - 4pm)
  • Week 2: Monday to Saturday (7am - 4pm)
  • Week 3: Monday - Tuesday (7am - 4pm) & Wednesday (7am - 11:30am). Travel home Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday off.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of site-based HSE management systems and procedures.
  • Carry out routine workplace inspections and audits to identify risks and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation, review, and monitoring of risk assessments, work processes, and safe systems of work.
  • Monitor contractor activities and provide guidance to ensure safe execution of works.
  • Participate in incident reporting and investigations, ensuring lessons learned and corrective actions are effectively implemented.
  • Promote positive safety behaviours and foster a proactive safety culture across all project teams.
  • Deliver site inductions, safety briefings, and awareness sessions where required.
  • Maintain accurate project HSE records and documentation.
  • Attend project coordination meetings and contribute to HSE-related discussions and planning.
  • Support the preparation of reports, audits, and key performance indicators relating to health, safety, and environmental performance.
  • Provide practical advice to operational teams regarding compliance obligations and industry best practices.
  • Assist in the management of environmental controls and sustainability objectives across the project.
  • Escalate and track safety concerns through to resolution.

Requirements

  • Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in a health, safety, or environmental role within construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environments.
  • Sound understanding of relevant HSE legislation and industry standards.
  • Experience working within a live project environment involving multiple contractors.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to influence safe behaviours at all levels of an organisation.
  • Highly organised with a strong attention to detail.
  • Professional HSE certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, SAMI, or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience on large-scale engineering, industrial, process, infrastructure, energy, or advanced manufacturing projects would be beneficial.
