DevOps Engineer

Senior Platform Engineer role in Copenhagen Team context: The Container Platform team owns and operates the internal Kubernetes platform: multi-cluster EKS and OpenShift, with Talos evaluation/adoption ongoing. The team builds the tooling, supply chain and developer-facing services around these clusters rather than just running them, so this is a software engineering role applied to platform infrastructure, not a pure operations/SRE role. Must have

• 5+ years hands-on Kubernetes in production, including cluster lifecycle (upgrades, node pools, networking, storage, RBAC), not only deploying workloads onto it.
• Deep EKS experience: IAM/IRSA, VPC networking, add-on management, autoscaling (Karpenter or Cluster Autoscaler), cost and capacity management.
• OpenShift experience: operators, OLM, cluster upgrades, OpenShift-specific networking and security model.
• GitOps as a working style: ArgoCD or Flux, Helm and/or Kustomize, infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Software engineering fundamentals: writes and maintains code with tests, reviews, CI/CD, versioning. Can build internal tooling and controllers, not only glue scripts.
• Container supply chain: image building, registries, signing/scanning, admission policy (Kyverno/OPA or similar).
• Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry or equivalent; comfortable debugging cluster and workload issues from metrics and traces.
• Able to work autonomously in an enterprise environment with change processes, security requirements and multiple stakeholder teams.

Strong preference

• Golang: has written Kubernetes controllers/operators, CLIs or platform services in Go.
• Talos Linux: has run or evaluated it in a real environment.
• AI-assisted engineering: uses tools like Claude Code, Cursor or Copilot as a normal part of the workflow for code, IaC, docs and debugging, and can judge when the output is wrong.
• AWS certification (Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent).
• Experience in a platform team serving many internal development teams (developer experience, self-service, documentation).
