DESIGN INTERNSHIP

Avavav is looking for a design intern who is eager to grow and support the in-house design team at the head office in Stockholm. In this internship, you’ll assist with the day-to-day development of seasonal collections, gaining both technical and hands-on experience with the creative process. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the core of the brand’s creative team and learn the key steps in building collections for an emerging fashion label. About the role This role entails hands-on work in the atelier, assisting in everything design related. The position requires an ambitious team player who is keen to learn and help in the process of designing collections. To be fit for this experience one needs to enjoy working in a smaller team in an up-and-coming environment, with all its ups and downs. Your main responsibilities will be:

• Design and ideation
• Sketch designs (hand & digital)
• Sew and experiment with trims and creative pattern making
• Assist in the day to day work of the creative director

Prerequisites

• Strong creative with a conceptual mind
• Some experience of pattern making and sewing
• Some knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
• Some knowledge of fabrication and choosing accurate qualities for different styles of garments
• Some knowledge of making Techpacks
• Fluent in English or Swedish
