Design Engineer

Job Title: Interconnect Design Engineer Location: Stockholm, Sweden (Hybrid) Assignment Period: 09 Nov 2026 – 13 Aug 2027 Client/Domain: Telecommunications & Electronics Recann is the employment business for this role. About the Role: We are seeking an Interconnect Design Engineer to own or contribute to interconnect design site activities related to Power and Optical Areas across the product-development lifecycle. Site products include power cables, connectors, and optical fibers used in the field for Ericsson radios and basebands. Key Responsibilities:

• Translate product, electrical, mechanical, environmental, reliability, and manufacturing requirements into practical design solutions and specifications.
• Evaluate requirements via in-house electrical and mechanical laboratory testing.
• Collaborate with suppliers and sourcing teams on technical requirements, prototypes, samples, qualification, and volume sourcing.
• Create and maintain design documentation, drawings, and product data.
• Perform design reviews, tolerance analysis, risk assessments, and design-for-manufacturing activities.
• Support verification, testing, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Several years of professional experience designing interconnects, connectors, cable assemblies, or electromechanical hardware.
• Proven experience taking hardware designs from requirements through verification and production.
• Strong understanding of mechanical/electrical interfaces, tolerances, materials, and reliability.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Merits: Experience with RF/high-speed interconnects, power grounding/shielding/EMC, telecommunications hardware, or environmental qualification/reliability testing.
