Department Manager

We are looking for a Department Manager who wants to play a key role in building our local capabilities, strengthening customer partnerships, and driving the continued growth of our Software & Embedded business in Denmark. The opportunity This is a central, high-impact leadership role with full people and business responsibility. You will build and lead a team of skilled consultants, ramp up the critical competences we need locally, and ensure we continue delivering high-quality solutions to our customers. You carry full P&L responsibility for your department: you manage both revenue and cost, and you deliver results in line with agreed targets. You are close to the business yourself, engaging directly with customers in operative sales and acting as delivery and project owner. What You'll Be Working With You will be responsible for leading and developing your department, ramping up the right competencies to meet current and future customer needs, and bringing Etteplan's best practices and productized service solutions to the Danish market. Your responsibilities include:

• Full P&L responsibility: managing revenue and cost base, and delivering results according to plan.
• Ramping up and recruiting: building substantial local headcount and securing the critical competences needed to deliver managed services and productized solutions.
• Direct customer engagement: operative sales with existing and new customers, and acting as delivery and project owner.
• Introducing Etteplan best practices and productised service solutions (PSS) to Danish customers, to increase the value we deliver.
• Building strong networks with colleagues across other Etteplan countries and business units, as cross-country synergy is key to our growth.

This role combines people leadership, customer engagement, P&L ownership, and hands-on business development, offering a varied and rewarding leadership position at the heart of our growth journey in Denmark. We believe you have

• At least 8 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager responsible for turnkey product development, or as a Software Project Manager responsible for complete solution development / Managed services.
• Experience managing customer relationships and building long-term partnerships.
• Experience preparing project proposals and collaborating directly with customers on technical and commercial opportunities.
• Proven success in leading teams and developing consulting operations.
• Experience recruiting and ramping up teams, and building strong professional networks across countries or business units.
• Experience with P&L responsibility, budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.
• A strong understanding of project delivery models, consulting operations, and customer-driven development.
• A commercial mindset and confidence engaging in customer dialogue, negotiations, and business development activities.
• An academic degree within engineering, software, technology, or a related field.
• Experience with cross-border collaboration is considered an advantage.
