I'm interested PwC Advisory’s Business & Supply Chain Operations team helps industrial companies improve growth, operations, supply chains, productivity and resilience. We support clients from analysis through major business transformations. Within the team, this role brings expertise in decarbonization, clean transition and regulation. The work combines transformation consulting, commercial and financial analysis, transition economics and regulatory expertise. Recent assignments include commercial strategy for Sustainable Aviation Fuels, industrial decarbonization strategies, clean transition growth opportunities, regulatory and market access assessments, and carbon analysis in market entry, Deals and transformation projects. We deliver both standalone assignments and specialist workstreams within broader PwC engagements. We are looking for a commercially proven Director or Senior Manager who can originate, sell, lead and deliver this work. This role is for an experienced consultant and business problem solver, rather than a traditional sustainability specialist. Key responsibilities

  • Originate, sell, lead and deliver decarbonization, clean transition and transformation engagements.
  • Build senior client relationships and a strong pipeline and meet agreed consulting and advisory commercial targets.
  • For senior candidates in particular, originate significant engagements, shape strong proposals and grow work independently and with other PwC teams.
  • Turn market, technology, carbon and regulatory developments into clear commercial recommendations, business cases and transformation plans.
  • Assess emissions, abatement potential and costs, regulatory exposure, market access and investment economics. Link the findings to growth, profitability, investment, product competitiveness and transformation priorities.
  • Originate and lead decarbonization, transition economics and regulatory workstreams within wider PwC Advisory, Strategy&, Deals and transformation engagements.
  • Identify where our expertise adds value to wider client work and collaborate closely with Strategy&, Deals, Technology and other PwC teams.
  • Lead project teams and take responsibility for quality, project economics and client impact.
  • Develop new services and help grow the Business & Supply Chain Operations practice.

Qualifications and skills We are looking first and foremost for an experienced consultant and business problem solver with a strong commercial track record. Meeting consulting or advisory commercial targets is essential. Deep technical sustainability expertise is not required.

  • Substantial experience in management or strategy consulting, transformation, Deals, Private Equity advisory or a related professional services role.
  • A proven record of meeting agreed sales and commercial targets for consulting or advisory work.
  • Ability to originate opportunities, build senior client relationships, shape and sell engagements, and grow work independently and with other teams.
  • Strong commercial and financial skills, including business cases and analysis of growth, profitability and investment decisions.
  • Experience leading complex consulting engagements, senior client discussions and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in industrial sectors, energy, decarbonization or major transformations is an advantage.
  • Experience in carbon analysis, abatement economics, clean transition or regulation is valuable, especially when applied to wider business questions.
  • A relevant academic degree, for example in business, economics, finance or industrial engineering.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Finnish is preferred; Swedish or other languages are an advantage.
