Pre-migration activities involve BOM verification, relocation and unboxing of Cisco devices, DOA checks, asset and hostname labelling, assistance with IOS upgrades and basic device configuration, and racking of equipment where possible prior to the migration window. Migration activities include installing switches in the designated rack positions, labelling and reconnecting patch cords in accordance with customer-provided port mapping sheets, installing and labelling uplink cables, assisting with troubleshooting where required, removing legacy devices once approved by Cisco, and replacing legacy wireless access points with new Cisco WAPs including the supply and installation of suitable anchors and fixings. Post-migration activities include boxing and relocating legacy equipment to the designated storage area, as well as completing post-migration documentation and quality assurance checks.
