Role snapshot
About Vimian Vimian is a listed animal-health group with around 1,300 employees, approximately EUR 425m in revenue, and a presence in more than 80 markets. In the latest quarter revenue grew 17 per cent, 12 per cent of it organic, with an adjusted EBITA margin of 24.5 per cent. The group operates through four segments: Nextmune (Specialty Pharma), Movora (MedTech), VetFamily (Veterinary Services) and Indical (Diagnostics). Vimian grows organically and through acquisition, with four companies added in 2026 alone. The group is deliberately decentralised: four segments, 86 legal entities, each running its own business. Technology and data are the exception. That is where you come in. About the role As Data Lead you own the roadmap, steer a consulting partner and a small but growing data team, and work with segment leadership teams on what belongs centrally and what stays local. Your job is to make the central platform valuable across all parts of the organisation: solve enterprise problems, design the operating model between central and local, and drive the change management needed to get there. The group data platform already exists, built on Azure, fed by more than 20 ERPs, used across the organisation. What is missing is the next layer: agreed definitions, canonical IDs linking roughly 26,000 CRM contacts and 12,000 member clinics to ERP customers, and a governance model that lets the segments build on the core without breaking it. On the AI side, you build agents grounded in certified data, starting with talk-to-the-data for HQ finance, then expanding to the segments. Data and AI is a strategic priority for the group, so the work is visible at the top of the organisation. This is not a pipeline-writing role. It is a product-owner role for someone who knows when a pipeline estimate is wrong, and who has already tried to have an agent write it. You report into group HQ, to the executive who owns the group data and AI agenda. The role is based at Riddargatan in Stockholm, with a minimum of two to three days in the office. About you Product owner first, engineer second, AI native throughout. You have built or owned a group data platform in a large, complex organisation and know what it takes to make it work, not just technically but across the business. You are used to managing senior stakeholders with competing priorities and getting alignment without formal authority. You work with agents and LLM tooling every day, in analysis, modelling, code review and writing, and expect the same of the people around you. You have driven change management: not just built platforms, but got organisations to actually use them. - Azure is our stack today (Data Factory, Synapse, Power BI). Equivalent depth on another modern data stack works just as well. We are not planning a migration. You can read a semantic model and challenge an engineer's design choices.
English is the working language. Swedish is not required. Industry background is not required — an interest in animals never hurts. What they offer A working platform at group scale and a blank page on top of it. The design decisions for the next layer are yours. A small, senior, informal environment at Riddargatan in Stockholm, dogs in the office included.
