Data Engineer (GCP)

AddanEx JOB POSTING: Title: GCP Data Engineer Location: Stockholm, Sweden Onsite / Remote: Onsite 2-3 days per week Type: Contract Start Date: ASAP Duration: 6 Months + Extensions Utilisation: 40 Hours per week Languages: English (Swedish bonus) Mission description As a Data Engineer, you will design, develop and manage scalable and robust data solutions for large data sets. You will work throughout the entire chain, from ingestion and transformation to modeled and quality-assured data that can be used for analysis, reporting and decision support. Our data platform is on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with BigQuery as a central component. Our client works with dbt, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Python and SQL, among other things. The role includes:

• Design, develop and further develop data pipelines and data models.
• Ensure high data quality, reliability and traceability.
• Optimize solutions based on performance, scalability and cost.
• Automate testing, deployment, and monitoring to create stable production solutions.
• Contribute to architecture, technical choices and common development principles.
• Work closely with Data Analysts and other skills on the team to make data easily accessible and useful for analysis and decision-making.
• Take independent technical responsibility from design and development to production launch and management.

Profile & Merits We are looking for someone who has:

• Solid practical experience with GCP and BigQuery
• Very good knowledge of SQL
• Good practical experience of DBT
• Experience in data modeling for analytical use cases
• Experience in optimizing solutions for performance and cost and understanding of relevant trade-offs
• Experience with CI/CD and automated deployments
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform
• Experience with Python
• Experience in building production-ready solutions with a focus on data quality, testing, monitoring and reliability
• Ability to independently analyze problems, propose solutions, and drive them all the way to production
• Good collaboration and communication skills and habit of working together with both technical and analytical skills
• Fluent in Swedish and English, spoken and written.
