Data Engineer for the banking sector in Helsinki

About the role

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain observability solutions to provide end users with critical insights. You will work within a compact team focused on creating robust data flows and intuitive dashboards.

Work tasks

Together with your team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of monitoring views, from configuring diverse data sources to scripting automation and troubleshooting technical issues.

• Participate actively in team's own planning sessions, suggest improvements, and bring new ideas
• Co-operate with other technical experts and various other stakeholders
• Participate in implementation work and troubleshoot any technical issues on your own area

We are looking for

We are looking for person who has:

• Graduate degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of corresponding work experience
• Strong skills and knowledge of observability fundamentals including metrics, logs, and traces
• Skills with data source configuration from various sources such as Prometheus, InfluxDB, or AppDynamics
• Good knowledge of data visualization best practices and dashboard design (panels, rows, variables/templating, transformations)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and provisioning
• Proficiency in JSON and scripting with Bash or Python
• Advanced analysis and troubleshooting skills
• Fluent English communication skills

It is meritorious if you have

• Hands-on experience with Splunk and/or AppDynamics
• Practical experience using PowerBI for statistical visualization
• Experience working in international projects using agile methodologies

For at least the first 6 months, you will work on an assignment for our client in the banking industry. A credit check will be conducted for the selected individual.
