Data Center Technician (Kolding, Denmark)

Work Mode: Onsite / Field Dispatch Engagement: On-Demand Location: Kolding, Denmark Role Overview We are looking for Smart Hands / Dispatch-on-Demand Technicians to provide onsite hands-and-eyes support for network and IT infrastructure activities. Key Responsibilities

• Rack and unrack servers, switches, and network equipment.
• Install, remove, patch, label, and organize Fiber/Ethernet cabling.
• Perform basic hardware replacement and break-fix activities.
• Power ON/OFF and power-cycle equipment as instructed by remote engineers.
• Replace or reseat plug-in modules, circuit cards, and field-replaceable components.
• Perform basic network/site surveys.
• Support remote L2/L3 engineers with hands-and-eyes activities.
• Check and report equipment status, indicator lights, console information, and site conditions.
• Perform fiber power/light-level measurements using appropriate test equipment.
• Provide clear updates, photos, readings, and completion reports after each task.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, data center, network, telecom, or field technical support.
• Hands-on experience with rack/stack, cabling, patching, and hardware installation.
• Basic knowledge of Ethernet and Fiber connectivity.
• Familiarity with racks, cabinets, switches, patch panels, and structured cabling.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions from remote technical teams.
• Good hardware troubleshooting and handling skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to travel to customer sites on an on-demand/dispatch basis.

Preferred

• Fiber testing and power/light-level measurement experience.
• Fiber optic troubleshooting knowledge.
• OTDR experience is a plus, including capturing and sharing OTDR trace files.
• Data center, telecom, or network infrastructure experience.
