Electrical Subject Matter Expert (Power) – Data Centre Operations Norway The Opportunity We are partnering with a major data centre operator and developer, heavily backed by institutional investment, with an ambitious pipeline of large-scale developments across the Nordics. Our client is currently developing a significant data centre campus in Norway, with substantial power capacity, and is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Subject Matter Expert (Power) as one of the first three key hires within its operations team. This is a unique opportunity to join at a pivotal stage, helping establish the electrical operations function from the ground up as the campus transitions into live operations. You will become the go-to electrical authority for the entire campus, taking ownership of critical power infrastructure, operational standards, maintenance strategies and technical decision-making. With significant investment and long-term expansion plans, this role offers genuine technical ownership, autonomy and excellent opportunities for career progression. Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical authority for all critical electrical infrastructure across the campus.
• Oversee the reliability and performance of HV/LV systems, UPS, generators, transformers and switchgear.
• Develop and implement electrical operating procedures, maintenance strategies and technical standards.
• Plan and oversee preventative maintenance, critical switching activities and high-risk electrical operations.
• Lead troubleshooting, incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support commissioning, testing and operational handover as the campus becomes operational.
• Work closely with site leadership, engineering teams and external stakeholders to ensure operational excellence.

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in data centre operations, critical facilities or electrical engineering, with strong mission-critical power expertise.
• Hands-on experience with HV/LV distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators and critical electrical systems.
• Proven experience in mission-critical environments where uptime, resilience and operational safety are essential.
• LV/HV Authorised Person certification with switching authorisation.
• Experience managing electrical maintenance, switching operations, incident response and operational risk.
• Strong technical judgement, problem-solving capabilities and the ability to operate independently.
• Electrical engineering qualifications or equivalent technical experience.
• Fluency in English and professional in Norwegian.
